Healing Deities 1999-2002
In this series of digital paintings Beverly Naidus explores very contemporary interpretations of Buddhas, boddhisattvas, pagan gods, goddesses, and yoginis, many of them breathing and/or sitting in the midst of challenging environments and social circumstances. These paintings were created with the goal of healing and transformation, not only of the bodies and spirits of those who are sick, but also parts of the world that are being assaulted by violence and pollution.
